Believers’ Salvation and Sanctification

Salvation is wholly by God’s grace through faith in Christ, with eternal security for every true believer (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 10:27-29). Those saved are eternally secure—salvation cannot be lost (Romans 8:38-39; John 6:37- 40). Sanctification means being set apart for God: positionally in Christ at salvation, progressively through the work of the Spirit, by the Word, and in practical assembly fellowship and living (1 Corinthians 1:2, 6:11; John 17:17; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4). Assembly does not endorse any schools of thought prevalent today but clearly affirm & celebrate scriptural position alone.

  • Positional: “Sanctified in Christ Jesus” (1 Corinthians 1:2)

  • Progressive: “Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth” (John 17:17)

  • Practical: Through the Spirit (Romans 8:13), the Word of God (Psalm 119:9), and assembly life (Hebrews 10:24-25)
